Infinix Unveils 5.5-Inch Smartphone, Infinix Hot Note


Infinix Mobility has unveiled the Infinix Hot Note, a 5.5-inch smartphone powered by an Octa-core processor with 1GB RAM and running Android 4.4.2 OS (KitKat), exclusively being sold via online retailer, JUMIA Nigeria. [Full specs are here]
The device, which appears to be the company’s answer to Samsung’s Galaxy Note range of phablets, is currently available for pre-order on JUMIA for N23,500 only.

Google has launched a new Chrome browser extension called Data Saver, which can be used  to save bandwidth and time when loading Web pages. The service has till now been  primarily targeted at mobile users, since they suffer from limited connectivity and try to  save  expensive data. However, with the launch of this extension, Google has made the  service available to PC users of the Chrome browser as well. The Data Saver extension, currently in beta, can be downloaded from the  Chrome Web  Store . Google has been quiet about this launch, refraining from making any announcements  on the same. Android Wear Smartwatch Can Now Find Your Phone via Voice Command

Google on Thursday started rolling out an update to Android Device Manager that helps   users find their lost device via an Android Wear device. The Android Device Manager introduced in 2013 essentially allowed locating, resetting and  deleting data for Android devices from Web. With the update, Google says that the 'Find my  phone' support has now been added for the Android Wear devices. The feature works can either work with voice command "Ok Google. Start. Find my phone"  or by selecting the 'Find my phone' option from the start menu. If your device is mapped  with Android Device Manager, it will start ringing at full volume till the time your Android  Wear device/ smartwatch is in range (Bluetooth range).
